Q: Can performing glitches harm my game?

A: Sometimes yes, other times no. I will mark out glitches that harm your game in the tilte e.g.

Glitch: (glitch name) *WARNING DELETES SAVE FILE*

Q: How do I find a Glitch?

A: Do different things, mainly random and unexpected things that you think the testers wouldn't have tested. Most glitches are found by chance. Well when I find them at least.

Q: How do I know if something is a glitch?

A: Does the game behave abnormally or allow you to do something that you can't normally? If yes, then it is a glitch, if not then it's not. See the page types of glitches for more info.

Q: I think I found a glitch, I tried to redo it, and it didn't work, does this mean that I'm trying the wrong thing to make the glitch happen?

A: Sometimes glitches are one-offs, so it might not be.

Q: I made a glitch happen with the use of a Game Genie/Gameshark/Action Replay, does it count?

A: To most people yes, however I don't count these as glitches as they wouldn't be tested in a games devlopment as the programmers wouldn't expect players to use devices such as the ones mentioned in the question.

Q: I used an emulator to find a glitch does that count?

A: Yes.

Q: I tried a glitch, and it doesn't work!

A: That's not a question... this can hapen for a number of reasons. Some games are realesed multiple times, and you may have a later version of that game in which the glitch has been fixed. Another reason is that you either missed out a step in the glitch, or you didn't have good enough timing, as some glitches require VERY good timing. So try again.
